...that is, in a schmorgesborg of randomness.
I haven't been blogging because:
a) I'm not great at keeping up on my blog in a timely manner
b) School is crazy intense right now
c) I've been caught up in the political scene, and any spare time I have I'm watching debates or reading
up on issues
So here is my attempt at capturing February 2012.
Ella's friend Rosco left her a sweet Valentine's Day present- a delicious dog cookie and savory bone. Ella loved it. As you can see she couldn't help herself while I was trying to make her pose for a photo. Sweet girl.
Eric spoiled me on Valentine's Day 2012. He got me roses- beautiful, fragrant roses, chocolates (three kinds) and took me out to a surprise dinner (I was so surprised, which doesn't happen very often- good job Eric!) at Shanahan's- a ritzy restaurant with oh so delicious food. Eric had the most delicious scallops we've ever had and I had a delectable filet mignon with lobster scampi sauce. I'm drooling right now just reminiscing about it.
Gorgeous. I know people think flowers and chocolates are an unnecessary cliche on Valentines Day, but I disagree. I feel it's a fun tradition and it's fun to receive flowers because they liven up my house and always put a smile on my face. And I always welcome chocolates... I'm a chocolate girl and always will be. So I say, bring on the chocolates and flowers, and if you're opposed to them send them my way, I'll gladly take them off your hands :)
Ella's most recent injury was her toenail being cut too short. There's something with her and her feet always being injured. Last November she cut the webbing in her back left paw, needing two sets of stitches, 1.5 months of bandaging, and ~2 months of decreased activity. Those were very rough times. So we're glad to only have to deal with a short, bleeding toenail. Sad as it is it's nothing some superglue and duct tape can't handle. And it healed in 3 days. Hallelujah!
Studying, studying, studying. Immunology. Blah. Interesting, but blah. I'd rather be studying drugs.
I've been upping my exercise routine for a couple of reasons:
a) I haven't had an exercise routine all winter except for taking Ella on her daily 4mi bike rides
b) My friends Kron and Chelsea have inspired me
c) I want to be ripped- I want my arm muscles to stand out from a mile away
I've been running nightly on the treadmill, weight lifting, and doing Zumba from our Wii. I look like a complete fool while doing Zumba, but it's so fun and the music is groovin', that I don't care one bit.
I looked up one night and found this. Ella is awesome. She is so lively and curious and active; always wanting to play. She has a toy box full of stuffed animals, balls and bones. When she's bored she'll go to the toy box, pull out a toy (in this case her favorite ball) and placed in on my bed so I would see it and throw it for her. Oh Ella, you always make me smile and our lives are so enriched because of you my yittle gyirl.

Haha I love the ball at the end! You're so sweet Andrea! I agree about Valentines! What girl doesn't want chocolate and flowers?!!? Seriously!
